"Efflorescence can be a real headache. It can be incredibly hard to clean up, and there can be big problems with using acids over the top of natural stone and certain tiles to remove efflorescence." said David.
"You then you have to use sealers to try and stop it reoccurring, but even then efflorescence is seldom fixed permanently." he said.
